Eplants grows a large range of specimen Pandanus ranging from 100L bags right up to ex-ground multi-branching specimens reaching heights of up to 6 metres. At eplants you will find a pandanus to suit your desired area. Pandanus, commonly called the screw palm has a unique growing form. The large serrated leaves grow up the trunk in a circular motion giving it the screw-like look. The pandanus (screw palm) is a very distinct plant and adds architectural appeal to any landscape. Pandanus have many features that make the character of this plant very hard to substitute. The two main characteristics are the air-roots and the fruit that the plant produces. As the pandanus grows it will produce air-roots that will be sent down from the trunk to help stabilise the plant. It is for this reason that pandanus often have very shallow root systems and can live in a number of soil types. The tree can take remarkable shape and be largely supported by the air-roots alone. The other feature of the pandanus is the fruit that resembles a large pineapple. Whilst it is not edible it is an extremely interesting feature. The pandanus is certainly a talking point and will be a valuable addition to your garden or landscape.
