The name Cordyline comes from the Greek word kordyle, meaning “club,” a reference to the enlarged underground stems or rhizomes from which they grow. They grow upwards exposing the woody stems with lush and brightly coloured foliage on top. The stem can be cut or pruned to any height to encourage new growth and a bushy plant.
Cordylines are a commonly used foliage plant in modern and tropical gardens. There are hundreds of varieties and cultivars of cordylines available all with their own dramatic colour of leaf shape. ePlants produces a broad range of compact and broad leaf corylines, offering a full variety of colours, and textures.
Suitable for full sun or shade positions, cordylines add colour and a tropical to any garden.
They are perfect for adding multiple layers of foliage to your garden and look stunning all year round.
They can be group planted to create a bold combination of colours or planted singley to create a colourful feature.
